so we've included a number of heart-conscious recipes for your
enjoyment.
MINESTRONE SOUP
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and diced
1 ounce lean ham
6 cups chicken broth, fat removed
1 can (16 oz.) diced tomatoes
1 can (16 oz.) green beans
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup sliced zucchini
1 cup dry elbow macaroni
2 Tbsp. dried chopped onion
2 Tbsp. dried parsley
1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
1 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1 small bay leaf
1/4 tsp. pepper
Stew boneless, skinless chicken
breasts and let cool. Cut into bite-sized pieces. Combine
all ingredients in 4-quart kettle and simmer until vegetables are
tender.
Yield: 9 cups
Serving: 1 cup
