GREEN RIVER HEART INSTITUTE, we want your heart-healthy lifestyle to be convenient, fun, and sensible.  An important part of that process is eating healthy, so we've included a number of heart-conscious recipes for your enjoyment.

 

LASAGNA

8 lasagna noodles
16 oz. non-fat cottage cheese
1 lb. ground white turkey meat or ground chicken breast
2 (8 oz.) packages, non-fat, shredded mozzarella cheese
1 large jar non-fat spaghetti sauce

Cook turkey or chicken meat and season.  Cook lasagna noodles.  Layer pan with 4 noodles, 1/2 cottage cheese, 1/2 meat, 1/2 spaghetti sauce, and 1 package of mozzarella cheese.  Place 4 remaining noodles on top and layer with remaining ingredients as before.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Yield: 8 servings
